Wisconsin Announces Top Companies to Watch

Yesterday, Wisconsin’s Department of Commerce announced their top 30 companies to watch in 2010.  The purpose of the award is to honor second-stage companies that demonstrate high performance in the marketplace, exhibit innovative products, services or processes, or otherwise make their company “worth watching.”  Among these companies were numerous pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies whose focus are chronic diseases.

The list included the following:

EraGen Biosciences

NeoClone

NeuWave Medical

PercipEnz Technologies

PhysioGenix

PreventionGenetics

Quintessence Biosciences

Visonex

Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Network (WEN) State Director Gayle Kugler explained that these winning companies are “at the crucial stage of growth where financial potential, concept and management have been established, and attracting talented workers, solid vendor relationships and access to peer learning are key components of future growth.” Because these companies represent the future of chronic disease prevention and treatment, The Chronicus Post looks forward to following their successes over the years to come.

For the complete announcement of the winners please consult the Wisconsin Department of Commerce.

An additional article by MSN Money discusses the relevance of PhysioGenix and other winning companies from Milwaukee on the economy of the City of Milwaukee.
